Clothing & Basic Needs Drive
We host a year-round Clothing & Basic Needs Drive to collect and distribute essential items for individuals and families in need. We accept clothing for all ages, along with lightly worn shoes, sleeping bags, and blankets. Donations go a long way in supporting vulnerable groups both locally and internationally.
In Canada, warmer clothing such as jackets, boots, hats, mitts, and other winter gear are distributed directly to the homeless and less fortunate during the fall and winter months, helping people face our country’s brutal cold-weather climate. These items are shared on the streets and donated to reputable shelters. We also ensure that immigrant families who may not have the budget to purchase these essentials are supported as well.
In addition to clothing, we also accept toiletries and basic hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, female hygiene products (pads and tampons), and baby essentials like diapers, wipes, and bottles (new). Please note that we are not accepting large items at this time, feel free to contact us if you are unsure whether an item can be donated.
Internationally, we partner with outreach programs in Ghana and work directly with the Diaspora Office of the government to distribute physical donations to individuals and communities in need. Summer clothing, shoes, sandals, baby and hygiene items are included in our shipments overseas, where they are given to communities that often have little to no access to these necessities.
Through this program, we aim to meet practical needs while spreading dignity, warmth, and care to communities both here in Canada and abroad.
